In last week's #3 WR poll, we selected Haywood Jeffires as the final WR on our all-time Titan/Oiler team.
This week, we will be voting to determine the franchise's all-time player at the TE position.
Here are the contestants.
Frank Wycheck (1995-2003)
A former Washington Redskins' reject, Wycheck's career bloomed during his tenure as an Oiler/Titan. A three-time Pro Bowler, Frank caught at least 60 passes in five consecutive years (1997-2001).
Another highlight of Frank's distinguished career was his 10-catch 123-yard performance in an unforgettable 34-31 overtime playoff victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2003.
Dave Casper (1980-1983)
Alvin Reed (1967-1972)
A two-time Pro Bowler, Reed was a reliable target at TE for the Oilers during the late '60s and early '70s. He ended his Oiler career with 199 catches for 2,818 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Bob McLeod (1961-1966)
McLeod spent six years in an Oiler uniform, catching 126 passes for 1,926 yards while scoring 19 touchdowns.
McLeod made the Pro Bowl during his rookie season with the 1961 AFL Champion Houston Oilers.
Mike Barber (1976-1981)
Barber was the starting tight end during the franchise's Luv Ya Blue years. His best season took place in 1980, when he caught 59 passes for 712 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Best of the rest
Erron Kinney (2000-2005) Kinney combined with Frank Wycheck to create a formidable TE duo for the Tennessee Titans during the early part of this century.
Known mostly for his blocking skills, Kinney caught a career-high 55 passes in 2005. Unfortunately, that was his final season in the league as a result of injuries that forced him out of the game.
Wille Frazier (1964-65,1971,1975) Frazier's best season took place in 1965, when he made the Pro Bowl as a result of his 37 catch, 521 yard, 8 TD performance.
Mack Alston (1973-1976) Alston spent four years in Houston during the seventies. Mack was a part of the infamous trade that involved the Redskins sending four other players to the Oilers in exchange for safety Ken Houston, who would continue a stellar career that was culminated with an induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Jackie Harris (1998-1999) Harris spent two of his twelve seasons in the NFL as a Tennessee Oiler/Titan. Harris was a solid player who spent most of his brief tenure as a Titan/Oiler playing TE, which allowed another guy by the name of Frank Wycheck to flourish as the team's H-back.
Jamie Williams (1984-1988) Jamie was one of Warren Moon's targets during his first few seasons as an Oiler. Williams caught a career-best 41 passes for 545 yards in 1984.
Who's your choice for all-time Titan/Oiler TE?
