By these reports, the Titans have been linked to fifteen UDFAs. That would leave the Titans at 89 total players, one short of the maximum 90. At Saturday's post-draft press conference, GM Ruston Webster indicated he expected the Titans would sign 10-14 UDFAs.
Let me stress these are unconfirmed rumors only, and you should not rely on them. It's worth keeping in mind the Tennessee Titans have not kept a rookie undrafted free agent on the 53-man roster in a number of seasons. The closest thing to exceptions are guys like Kevin Matthews, who was cut and spent most of the season on the practice squad, and Chris Hawkins, who was a UDFA and made the team but not immediately out of college. As Adam Caplan notes, teams won't announce signings until they're official. That may also include passing a physical. The Titans are generally a bad team for a UDFA, so until pen has been put to paper, UDFAs may find greener pastures.
I'll be updating this post as I see more names.
Devin Aguilar was a receiver at Washington during Jake's time. He is quite thin, not real fast, runs good routes and has good hands. I think making the active roster will be tough for him, but I wish him all the luck in the world.
To me, there are two intriguing names on this list - DaJohn Harris DT USC and William Vlachos C Alabama. Both of these guys were rated fairly high at the start of the post-season, but seemed to slip over the last two months. One or both of these guys could stick. Vlachaos was a 3-year starter at Alabama. He anchored an O-line that won two national championships. The Titans are thin at Center. He could make this team.
@Scott P After the Titans not addressing the Center position in the free agency or the draft, we are at the point of needing Vlachos to make the team. They still may add interior offensive lineman via free agency if Vlachos doesn't work out and it's clear to the front office this position needs to be adressed. I think everyone else, except the front office, is in agreement that this section of the offensive line must be fixed.
Looks like the UDFAS that I was hoping the Titans would sign, DT Vaughn Meatoga, was signed by Washington Redskins; and LB Vontaze Burfict was signed by the Bengals. The Titans need to look at more then 2 guard prospects. I'm including the OT as a guard prospect.
