Titans annihilated by Packers, 55-7

Well, that was fun. By the time the Titans got a first down, they were down 14-0, if only because Randall Cobb failed to bring in two catchable passes. At halftime, it was 20-0. After the Packers had the ball five times on the second half, it was 55-0. Only a Jake Locker pass to Kenny Britt in the final two minutes of the game avoided the shutout.

There's not a lot to say about this game. Jake Locker's passer rating at halftime was 0.0, thanks to two interceptions and only three completions on a dozen attempts. Chris Johnson found no running room. The first half defense was pretty bad. The second half defense was beyond terrible. Brett Kern shanked a punt. Rob Bironas did ok, but didn't really get the chance to do much.

Merry Christmas, Packers fans!

I didn't see the game. That is probably a good thing. At this point, it should be a forgone conclusion that everyone would be fired - from the front office on down to the coaching staff - and no roster spot should be safe (ncluding Locker's). No NFL team should lose this badly so many times during a season without drastic measures being taken. Despite Bud's recent statements though, I don't think that he will gut the front office, coaching staff and roster. He will probably buy Munchak's excuses and make the huge mistake of keeping Munchak and the front office. And that might have been the biggest problem with the team this year. There seems to have been a massive disconnect between the front office and the coaching staff. Players were signed or re-signed that went unused or that didn't seem to fit the scheme (such as Hutchinson,Wimbley, Griffin and Hawkins). The FO drafted an inaccurate, raw franchise QB, but none of the coaches seemed to know how to maximize his strengths or to fix his well-documented accuracy and decision-making problems. This type of disconnect should be sufficient grounds for replacing everyone from the top on down. But it probably won't. If the front office and Munchak return, we will be forced to endure another brutal season where a 9-7 win/loss record would be the absolute ceiling for the team.

I think its time for Bud to revisit his threat to fire everyone. I'd be almost fine with a completely different team next year.

Its a shame: I think we all LIKE Locker as a guy and player, but QB play like that is inexcusable from a first round pick. Maybe tanking against the Jags would be a strategic victory.

This game was absolutely pathetic!  What a way to bring the season to an end.  I think jacksonville is going to beat the Titans again next week the way they are playing.  Yes the defense was bad, but the offense was horrible and did the defense no favors.  Locker looked horrible.  he reminds me more and more of Mark Sanchez out there with the horrible throws, tripping and falling, taking idiotic sacks when he should be throwing the ball away, and his scrambling around in the pocket looking lost.   I hope he was paying attention to what Aaron Rodgers was doing, because that is a real quarterback. The offensive line being an absolute sieve does not help, but Locker has to do a better job than that.  The thing that concerned me the most was that his passes were just horribly inaccurate!
